3. Advertising & Measurement

We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK to send app events and limited parameters (e.g., plan type, currency, price, placement) to measure the performance of our acquisition campaigns and improve the Service.

  • ATT consent: On iOS, access to the IDFA and any cross-app tracking happens only after you grant consent via Apple’s ATT prompt.
  • If you decline: we do not access the IDFA. Measurement may still occur in aggregated form via Aggregated Event Measurement (AEM) and Apple SKAdNetwork (which do not rely on user-level identifiers).
  • We do not show third-party personalized ads inside the app.

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we process:

  • Advertising measurement & optimization: Consent (ATT) where required; legitimate interests for aggregated measurement (AEM/SKAN) where applicable.

What Face Data We Collect

Symme temporarily collects the following facial data when you use our analysis features:

  • Facial images: Photos captured through your device camera
  • Facial feature data: Geometric measurements and characteristics extracted from your images for analysis purposes

Symme collects the following data:

  • Analysis results: Scores and comments from the analysis

Complete and Clear Explanation of All Uses

Your facial data is used exclusively for these specific purposes:

  • Facial analysis functionality: To provide the facial analysis results you request
  • Image processing: To analyze facial features, symmetry, and structure
  • Generating recommendations: To create personalized exercise and improvement suggestions
  • No other purposes: Face data is never used for advertising, marketing, or any other purposes

Third Party Sharing and Storage Location

Face data is shared with one third party for analysis:

  • OpenAI/ChatGPT: Your facial images are temporarily transmitted to OpenAI for AI-powered analysis
  • Temporary server storage: Images are briefly stored on our secure servers (a few minutes) to handle OpenAI analysis
  • No permanent storage: Neither we nor OpenAI permanently store your facial data
  • No other third parties: Your facial data is never shared with any other companies or services

Exact Retention Period

Face data retention timeline:

  • On our servers: Maximum 5 minutes (automatically deleted after analysis completion)
  • During transmission to OpenAI: Only during active analysis request
  • By OpenAI: Not permanently stored, used only for immediate processing
  • On your device: No facial data is stored locally
  • Total retention: Zero permanent retention anywhere

Your Control Over Face Data

  • Automatic deletion: No manual action required as all data is automatically deleted
  • Consent required: Facial analysis only occurs when you explicitly request it
  • Opt-out: You can stop using facial analysis features at any time

7. Consent to Share Consumption Data with Apple

By using Symme and making in-app purchases, you consent to our sharing data regarding your usage and consumption of purchased content with Apple to help resolve refund requests. This data includes details about your access to and interaction with purchased content, in compliance with Apple's policies.
